For blog page settings you can do it from customizer. In the customizer there is lots of options not only for blog but for other pages too. So once you go to customizer you will find all the settings like font typography, font colors etc.

Colors are the same for all the resolutions. Once you select any color for any title or background it will be applied for all the resolutions.

Yes there is an option to show/hide slider on inner pages. If you hide the slider on inner pages it will display only on homepage.

For making header bigger or fat you need to acces style.css file of your theme folder and go to line no. 63 and increase top and bottom padding of header class.
