Sidebar spacing always present

Within the pages, the right sidebar spacing is always present and I cannot seem to change this. I cannot disable the right sidebar completely in Pages. Within widgets, I can add an item in the sidebar content will display. If I remove all items, the sidebar is empty but still takes up that space. The sidebar space remains causing my galleries and other content to align badly.

I have even tried editing the themefiles a bit and no change. Still off centered. Is there a way to completely remove the side bar so my content appears centered?

I believe I finally figured it out. Although I am very sure I already tried this. Under Edit Page, page attributes, selected Template: No Sidebar. Hopefully, that’s the perm fix.
