Photolite Pro basic Homepage changes need help

Have a few issues and would appreciate some direction after buying the Pro version.
Homepage:
I really only want the main slideshow and 4 boxes on the homepage, then at the bottom the black bar with menu and copyright info.
I have ‘hidden’ the sections 1-3 as per the hide option in the menu.

So i want to be able to remove the orange bar that has testimonials etc, recent posts, and contact info. I will add links to these via menu options.
I have tried removing the above via amending source files but end up with full width recent post appearing, so now would appreciate some guidance.

Go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Basic Settings >> Custom CSS >> Here you can add the below code.
#footer-top{display:none;}

Thanks for the fast support.
That code has successfully removed the orange section.
The Recent Posts and the Contact section remain at the bottom.
How can i remove these from the bottom of the homepage?

Hi, just replied but didn’t seem to post so trying again. Apologies if it duplicates…
Thanks for the CSS, that was able to remove the orange section.
But the Recent Posts and the Contact content still show near the bottom.
How can these two be removed?

RESOLVED
I have amended the code in the footer.php but previously didn’t put the /* in the correct place. Its now commented out correctly.
But perhaps would be good to have this feature available within the template setup.
