permalink issues

Hello,

I have been using wp-travel plugin to creates trip. The trip created from plugin display as
egtours.com/itinerary/tripname

I like to display the trips similar as

egtours.com/tripname

I try to make changes from setting but it does not work, is that theme issue or something else ?

Plugin maker advice as

3. one more issue of permalink. I want trips in the following directory as egtours.com/trips not egtours.com/itinerary/trips

Response: You can change the permalink structure of the trip but we don’t recommend to do that because it may arises backend issue later. We recommend you to choose a suitable keyword instead of ‘itinerary’.

since once I change new permalinks then my google rank goes down. How to fix it

We suggest that don’t change the permalink since it cause many issues in future. Since the url created by the plugin so we can’t say much.
