As we have check the site and seem it is on maintenance mode. The elementor plugin comes with its own html and css so when you added to content in elementor editor it comes with html tags and the excerpt functionality won’t work with html tags. We recommend you to add plain text.

Which text of testimonial do you want to change it’s from section or sidebar?
If you want to change testimonial text from the section then go to Testimonial post type in the backend and select the post and change the text.
If you want to change testimonial text of sidebar then it’s a default text coming from the sidebar.php file. Go to Appearance >> Editor >> sidebar.php >> here you can find the text and change it.

Once you install and activate the pro version you can go to settings >> readings >> here you can select latest post option so the homepage sections will appear.
For inner pages you need go to tools >> click import and select the xml file comes with the theme package and click import. All the inner pages will be added to the backend.
