InactiveOK so I’ve purchased 3 themes trying to find one that has all of the features I want. Each theme has something good, but then takes away a good feature of another theme.
For example, I love the way photolite lets you put the 4 page photo/links right under the slider. Looks awesome. I wanted to use this, so I switched from the Awesome One theme.
Then I find out that photolite doesn’t have the [blogposts] shortcode. Really? On a wordpress theme your’re going to take out the ability to make a blogposts section? Intentionally handicapping the theme.
Also frustrating to no end is that I can’t REMOVE things. Like the small recent posts at the bottom of photolite. It looks totally screwed up with one small photo and one giant one. And i can’t remove it. Why? I can’t remove that whole section actually. So it shows the words “Phone” and “Mobile” that I can’t remove. Why?
The themes are so good, yet you take away features from one to another and force me to use other features I don’t want.
Please help.

KeymasterHi
In the photolite theme we have made the blog posts page separately but if you want it on front page then please send us the site url and the login details to support@flytheme.net so we will add the blogs on front page. Also if you want to remove any column in the footer then you should us the blank widget in footer columns or if you want to remove it completely then let us know so we will provide you a solutions or we will do it.
Thank You

InactiveUsed a 3rd party plug in to get blog posts on the front page and it looks great. I changed the footer code to remove the parts I didn’t want. I also changed the header code and made the top 4 page images clickable (which they should have been by default)
I wasted a day, but the result is much better.
It would have been easier if you didn’t remove functionality between themes. You should want it to be easy for a user to switch between your own themes. And you could put in pretty simple changes to make it unnecessary for support people to log into and change people sites.
