Photolite Pro Top Footer Font Color

I’ve emailed several times without a reply. I upgraded to Photolite Pro. I created a child theme and am working from that child theme. I am not a programmer. I am trying to get the top footer column (is it #1?) with the testimonial text to show up as white. It is showing up as orange. However, when I run the mouse across the orange text, it turns white. When I take away the mouse, the text shows up as orange. This is VERY frustrating. I am sure there is a quick fix but I don’t know what it is. PLEASE let me know how to change the font color from orange to white. Based on your 11/28/16 message to someone else,(2:21 pm #6364), I went to Theme Options in the child theme, Basic Settings and then Custom CSS. I typed in #footer-top .top-testimonial{color:#ffffff;} but nothing happened. The text is still showing up orange. What should I do to get the orange text to show up as white?
