Where do I modify the code to change the loading Icon? By default it is 4 blue squares, how do I change it to something different?

Hi

You can replace your gif by replacing default gif file within images folder in your theme directory.
Go to images folder in your theme directory and replace the image called Preloader_2.gif with your own image it will displayed your image when site loading.

How do i remove this all together and disable this feature

For disable the loading icon go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Basic Settings >> Custom CSS >> and add this code.
