Capenter Pro – Changing Testimonial Speed, Captions on Photos, and Default Photo

In one of your forum posts, you have provided the same solution to another user that I need, but you requested to be emailed with the login details to apply it. I need to have the default photo album changed from All to Cement work. Also, I am trying to identify Before/After photos and there is no way to display the photo Title, Caption or Alternate Text. It would be great if at a minimum to have one of those fields displayed when hovering over the photos, but ideally it would be great to have one of those fields under each photo.

Lastly, I need to slow down the testimonial slider, so that people have enough time to read each one. I looked throughout the code and found several places where it might be, but wasn’t able to determine where the changes are needed to slow it down?

If you could point me to the code as well, in case I need to further modify it without bothering you again, that would be appreciated.

You can go to Appearance >> Editor >> js/bx-slider.js >> Here you can slow the speed from it’s functions.

There is no bx-slider.js in the Carpenter Pro theme that I could find! I saw the response from a previous post, but again, this file doesn’t appear anywhere in the package. There are several .JS files that have speed values, of which I tried changing them to see what happens, but no effect. Can you please confirm that actual file and where to make the change?

Thank you for slowing down the testimonials! Any update on the other two requests: (1) Default Photo Gallary to “Cement Work” vs. “All”, and (2) Display Photo Title or Caption (or both) for each photo in the Gallary on the website?

Also, can you please post where the change was made to the testimonials speed, so that I can adjust as needed and for others that have similar questions? It would be helpful to know where the changes are made for the photo gallery items above too.

We have slow down the testimonial by go to Appearance >> Editor >> Js/custom.js >> Here we have change the autoplay speed.
We have added title in the gallery.

Thank you, but the titles are not showing up on the home screen, or anywhere when you click on any of the photos, the title change you made is not working/displaying anywhere that I can see.

Also, it is still not defaulting to the category of “Cement Work” which was part of the original request. You have done that for another person on this theme according to your posts, but the code or how it was done was not posted?

We have made the changes in the custom-functions.php file.
Go to Appearance >> Editor >> inc/custom-functions.php >> Here we made changes.
Is the gallery title still not appear?

AWESOME! Thank you! Everything works as requested, except the default photo gallery category is still defaulting to “All” vs. “Cement Work”

This should be an easy fix, as it was done for another forum member.

As soon as that is fixed, we can close out this thread. Thank you again, it looks great now, just need that one minor update/fix.
