    So I have been struggling a bit with the sections. I assume by default they all should be present on the webpage unless I check the “Hide this section” box. The only things I have showing by default are the header, slider, sample page, and footer. None of the sections are present???

    Please assist.

    Hi

    Do one thing go to settings >> readings >> Select latest post radio button and see the change. It will surely resolve your issue.

    That did the trick, thanks.

    ** One last thing and I should be set…… I cannot get rid of the “Portfolio” section. Even when I check the box to hide it…. it remains.

    I am also unable to get rid of the portfolio section

    Hi

    For hide the portfolio section you can just make portfolio section background color to white. This will resolve your issue.
